Insomnia is one of the more common sleep disorders suffered by millions of people, but it isn't the only one. There are literally hundreds of sleep disorders suffered by people of every age, shape and size. Do you have insomnia, or another common sleep disorder?

Most Common Sleep Disorders

Insomnia is a type of sleep disorder, usually diagnosed when someone has difficulty falling asleep, staying asleep or wakes feeling unrested. There are many other sleep disorders however, people suffer from. Some people have multiple sleep disorders, or a combination of chronic illnesses and sleep disorders. Most healthcare providers require a complete examination to determine whether someone has insomnia or a related sleep disorder. Usually once diagnosed, a patient can find relief for their sleep disorder using one of many treatment alternatives or natural remedies for insomnia.

What Are Sleep Disorders?

Sleep disorders including insomnia, include any chronic problem that leads to difficulty sleeping. Each unique sleep disorder has its own symptoms and causes.
